About this Event
Standing Out with Confidence: Résumés, Interviews, AI Prep & Navigating Hiring Bias
Practical tools. Real practice. Stronger futures. Be Work Ready.
Getting the interview is one thing. Standing out with confidence is another.
If you’re job searching, changing careers, returning to the workforce, or navigating the Canadian job market as a newcomer or internationally trained professional, this FREE, practical and interactive workshop is designed to help you show employers the value you bring — with greater confidence and authenticity.
Standing Out with Confidence goes beyond simply telling you what to do. You’ll have opportunities to practice, receive feedback, and strengthen how you present yourself throughout the hiring process.

🎭 Practice with an Actual HR/Hiring Professional
Take part in live interview role-play and receive practical feedback you can use in your next interview.
🤖 Prepare with AI — Responsibly
Learn how AI can support résumé and interview preparation without losing your own voice or authenticity.
⚖️ Recognize & Navigate Hiring Bias
Explore how bias can appear during recruitment and interviews and learn practical ways to respond while maintaining your confidence.
