Our laws for Domestic abuse protections must be honored. Children’s voices must be heard. Public officials must be accountable.Join us for a press conference and peaceful demonstration and prayer concerning the misconduct of the state toward Julie and the Valadez children.

This event calls for public scrutiny of the state's failures when Ethan, then 15, refused to return to his father and sought safety. The public has now watched James Sempf in the Walworth Courthouse lie to the court and clearly demonstrate that he has engaged in misconduct while never communicating with Ethan or listening to his voice.
We are calling for answers about compliance with domestic abuse protection laws and the appellate court’s decision, the handling of evidence, and require our officials to listen to Ethan’s own statements and reports of abuse and follow the law accordingly.
Our message is clear:
• Honor domestic abuse protections.
• Listen to children who report that they are unsafe.
• Respect due process and court mandates.
• Demand transparency and accountability in the use of public resources.
Community members, advocates, journalists, and public officials are invited to attend, listen, and learn why this case raises concerns beyond one family.
Please participate peacefully and respectfully, keep entrances and walkways clear, and follow courthouse rules.
Be present. Bring a friend. Share this event.
When our community shows up, we make clear that survivor and child safety matter.
