Stand With Highlands: Protecting Our Students' Future
Our students have worked too hard and come too far. Now is the time to stand together.
Highlands is facing an important moment in our school's future. On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, our attorneys will appear in federal bankruptcy court to request that the State Board proceeding be paused, helping protect students from an abrupt interruption to their education.
We invite our students, staff, alumni, families, community partners, and supporters to join us.
November 10 — Court Hearing
Time: 11:00 AM PST
Location: Robert T. Matsui U.S. Courthouse, 501 I Street, Sacramento, CA
Supporters will attend as respectful observers. You will not be required to speak or testify.
Final arrival instructions, court entry requirements, and transportation information will be shared with registered attendees.
November 12 — Please Hold the Date
A second hearing before the California State Board of Education may take place on Thursday, November 12.
This hearing will only require our mobilization if the November 10 court proceedings do not pause the State Board process.
We will communicate the confirmed status and instructions following the November 10 hearing.
