STAND UP FOR LGBTQIA+ FOLKS WITH TODDY
FOUR WEEKS. ONE SHOW. $210.

Location: 120 Princess Ave
This course is an entry level class focused on learning the basics of comedy writing to help you dive confidently into the world of stand up comedy. You will learn the tools to help you crush your first stand up set, learning joke writing structures, comedy writing practices, building that stage confidence, exploring your comedic voice and learning the ins and the outs of the trade. This is the class for you, if you just want to step out of your comfort and try stand up with us!
At the end of Stand Up 1, you will be all geared up for Stand Up 2 where you will learn to develop stronger punchlines, learn how to transition into each joke, honing your comedic voice and give you the tools to help you to do a booked show.
**This class is reserved exclusively for folks who identify as LGBTIQIA+ -- if you're interested in taking a class with us and are not a member of this community, please check out our other upcoming offerings!
If cost is a barrier to participation, please feel free to apply for our Diversity Scholarship — we want to ensure everyone who wishes to can participate!
Please note:
- This class is for folks ages 18+
Venue Accessibility - The venue is accessible from the street level with no steps up – the main door has a significant lip, but the side door (which will be unlocked for classes) is level to the sidewalk. Click here for more info!
Show Day Information - Wondering when your shows are? 95% of BTC shows are on Wednesday nights at 7PM or 9PM. Your exact show schedule will be sent out the week of your first class!
Refunds & Cancellations – a 100% refund is available up to two weeks before your class begins. Within two weeks of the class start, registration is non-refundable.
