STAND UP 3 WITH SASHA MARK - THE SHOWCASE
EIGHT WEEKS. ONE SHOW. ONE TAPE (!). $445.
PRE-REQUISITE: Stand Up 2 or equivalent experience.
Tuesdays, July 21 - September 15 **No Class Sep 8 **
4:30pm-7:00pm PST
Location: Carousel Theatre Studios - Studio B
Stand Up 3 is a special class, with students working towards a statement showcase set that is filmed for you as part of the class. The goal of these sets will be to prepare and capture festival-calibre material that can be submitted to bookers.
You can expect to work on the next-level skills that make outstanding stand up videos pop. Short, effective openers. Call backs. Closers. The detailed rewriting and reps that it takes to get sets polished and pearly. You will also dig into the world of producing your own shows and all the skills that support that beautiful side of comedy.
Final sets will be filmed with two cameras, edited and provided to each student (additional edits would be up to the student). You will move on from this class with the quality video of your work that you need to make moves in the comedy scene as well as leveled up skills and learning.
Please note:
- This class is for folks ages 18+
- This class has a pre-requisite of Stand Up 2 or equivalent experience.
Venue Accessibility - Unfortunately this venue has limited accessibility. Studio B is on the second floor of the building and is only accessible via a steep staircase. Click here for more info!
Refunds & Cancellations – a 100% refund is available up to two weeks before your class begins. Within two weeks of the class start, registration is non-refundable.
