This course is the first step into the world of Blind Tiger’s Long Form Studio! In Intro 1 through Advanced Scenes 2, you learned the many joys of swimming while in a nice heated pool. In Long Form, it’s time to swim in the ocean. The canvas is bigger, the things you’ll see and do are wilder, and it is many of the faculty’s first loves. Once you go long, you rarely go back.

In this class, you will study the basic concepts and techniques that make exceptional long form improvisation possible. You will hone the techniques of scene starts, edits, beats, the challenges and opportunities that exist in returning to scenes and the many nuances of group game. You’ll practice these skills on the Harold, a form that offers structure to your newly ocean-bound ensemble.

Long Form 1 is the prerequisite for three other classes, which together make up our Long Form Studio. Once you’ve completed this class, you are welcome to join us for Long Form 2, 3 and 4 in any order!

Please note:

This class is for folks ages 18+
This class has a pre-requisite of Advanced Scenes 2 or equivalent experience

Venue Accessibility - The venue is accessible from the street level with no steps up – the main door has a significant lip, but the side door (which will be unlocked for classes) is level to the sidewalk. Click here for more info!

Show Day Information - Wondering when your shows are? 95% of BTC shows are on Wednesday nights at 7PM or 9PM. Your exact show schedule will be sent out the week of your first class!

Refunds & Cancellations – a 100% refund is available up to two weeks before your class begins. Within two weeks of the class start, registration is non-refundable.
