A group of Black women in their thirties, who were college friends, have reunited for the funeral of their friend Janeen, who has died by suicide. The women as prosperous, professional Black women who came of age during the turbulence of the 1960s and entered adulthood in the 1980s. What initially appears to be a reunion, quickly becomes a reckoning. Their polished professional lives do not necessarily mean they have escaped the pain, compromises, and expectations that shaped them.
