What happens after we die? And how can understanding the process of death help us live more meaningfully now and support others at the end of their lives? In Part 2 of Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully, we’ll explore Buddhist teachings on the process of death, the intermediate state and rebirth. We’ll also learn about Powa, or transference of consciousness, a practice used to help those who have died and those who are dying.
These teachings offer a different way of looking at death: not simply as an ending, but as a natural part of the cycle of life. By developing a deeper understanding of what happens at death, we can approach our own mortality with greater wisdom and peace while learning how to support others with compassion.
