Set out on our private broad for a special Saturday adventure combining a peaceful boat journey, stunning scenery, and a guided visit to one of Norfolk’s most iconic historic sites.This experience is delivered in partnership with the Norfolk Archaeological Trust, and NAT partnership along with experienced guides will meet you on arrival to ensure a smooth, welcoming start to your day.
Your journey begins at Fairhaven, where you’ll board for a tranquil cruise across the waterways to the Bishop’s Mooring. From there, you’ll be guided to the start of your tour.
You’ll then enjoy a fascinating 1-hour guided walking tour of St Benet’s Abbey, exploring its rich history with expert commentary while taking in the dramatic ruins and surrounding countryside.
Departure time: 1:00pm (approx. 3 hours total experience including boat transfer and guided tour)
Operates: Fortnightly Saturdays
Make a full day of your visit by arriving early to enjoy Fairhaven with peaceful walks through ancient woodland and waterways, or relax with a light lunch or homemade cakes in the cafe. Plently of free parking available.
