**Square Dance Party to Benefit Buncombe County JAM Programs**
Asheville, NC – A revival of mountain community tradition is taking root in the heart of Asheville. The inaugural Asheville Square Dance Party will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Eulogy on the South Slope. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with dancing kicking off at 7:00 PM.
This lively evening of traditional Appalachian music and dance will benefit the Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM) and Senior Appalachian Musicians (SAM) programs of Buncombe County, with all net proceeds supporting youth and community music education.
The dance will feature live music from Jenny Run Away, along with calling from renowned square dance callers Phil Jamison and Michael Ismerio with special guests.
This inaugural event is proudly supported by local sponsors Pisgah Banjo Company and Acoustic Corner, both dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional music in Western North Carolina.
Guests are invited to experience an authentic Western North Carolina tradition rooted in community, rhythm, and joy. Beginners are warmly welcomed, and no prior dance experience is necessary.
