About this Event
Brisbane houses are up nearly 80% in five years. Great if you own one. Tough if you're trying to buy your next one here.
Brisbane's median house price is now $1,212,562, higher than Melbourne's $1,041,205. Five years ago it was $678,236. If you already own in Brisbane, you may be sitting on equity you're not using. If you've saved a deposit, Brisbane and much of QLD may now be out of reach for a sensible investment.
In one session we'll show where the numbers point next: selected growth markets in Victoria and duplex deals in NSW, and how to use the equity you've already built to get there.
Agenda for the evening:
✅ Why QLD is getting harder to invest in. The data behind Brisbane's five-year run, and what it means for yields and entry prices now.
✅ How to work out your usable equity. A plain-English walkthrough of how lenders look at equity, and how to use it safely.
✅ Where the research team is looking in VIC. The areas we're watching and the data behind them.
✅ How NSW duplex deals work. Two rents, one purchase, and the numbers you need to check.
✅ Lessons from Brisbane's flat decade. What our panel learned investing in Brisbane from 2010 to 2020, when prices barely moved, and what those lessons mean for your next move.
A live panel Q&A. Bruce, John and Priscilla take your questions. Bring your situation.
