It's that time of year again! Come along to your local community māra kai and pick up thriving summer veggie seedlings for your home garden.All seedlings are from our best-performing crops, with seed saved at Dignan St Community Garden. Experience the difference growing kai from plants adapted to local conditions over years and years, from seed that we've been saving ourselves.
The sale kicks off at 11am, and we'll be firing up the pizza oven from about midday so stick around for some free kai! Seedlings are available to purchase with cash or via bank transfer.
Standout plants include:
Tomatoes (Karen's Best, Costoluto Genovese, Moonglow, Tangella and Yellow Pear Cherry)
Climbing beans (Purple! Because they're the best)
Pumpkins (Red Kuri, the much-loved garden favourite)
Yacon, Adriatic Fig saplings and more.
