All new international students starting at SFU this Spring 2027 are invited to our multi-part orientation series to get transition and settlement support.
The orientation series is comprised of pre- and post-arrival sessions. Please obtain tickets for each event that you would like to attend to receive event details and reminders.
The series will consist of the following topics and events:
- Immigration and medical insurance requirements and travel tips
- Medical insurance
- Housing on and off campus
- Social Insurance Number clinics
- Welcome socials
We strongly recommend that you sign up for all sessions to get comprehensive support.

Zoom & Technical Requirements:
To attend our virtual sessions, you must have access to internet, and a working computer. Registered participants will be provided with a link in advance via email to access the online space.
