SWISS TRIOS TOURNAMENT RULES1. The tournament is USBC-sanctioned and open to all adult USBC members in good standing. Each team will consist of three (3) bowlers. Teams are limited to one (1) PBA or PWBA national title holder.
2. The entry fee will be $100/bowler ($300/team); $90 lineage and $210 prize fund. If space permits, walk ins will be accepted. Payout will be 1:4 entries.
3. Each bowler must pay a $5 membership fee prior to participating in their first Solid Pin Productions event of the 2026-2027 season (August-April). These fees will go towards the bowling pin trophies given to the champions of each event, as well as software fees payable to The Bowler's Eye.
4. This event will max at 36 teams.
5. Check-in will begin at 9:00am. Practice will begin promptly at 10:00am, with tournament play starting at 10:10am. Lane assignments will be drawn at random upon check-in.
6. Handicap will be based individually for this event: 80% of 220. Handicap is based on your highest 2025-2026 league ending average with minimum 21 games. If no average from previous season, we will accept a current sanctioned average with a minimum of 15 games. If neither applies, bowler will bowl scratch (i.e. 220 average). Per USBC rule 319c, a bowler’s average may be adjusted upward prior to participation in any event.
7. Bowlers will bowl 8 games, with each game being head-to-head with an overall 10 points per game that can be earned, 2 points for each individual match, and 4 points for overall total pins per match. Teams on the LEFT lane will establish their lineup first. Each game is a position round, and teams are repositioned based on their total points after each game. All ties will be broken by cumulative pin total with handicap where applicable. In the event there is an odd number of teams, a blind team will be used. The blind team will earn points and be ranked each game according to points won. When facing the blind team, bowlers must shoot their entering average minus 10 pins (minus 30 pins for team points) or higher to win their respective points. The team with the most points earned after all 8 games are complete will be deemed the champions.
8. Brackets, high-game and singles pots will be available. If there is enough interest, brackets, and side pots will have handicap and scratch divisions. A week prior to the event, a listing of side action offered will be posted. ALL BRACKET AND SIDE POT MONEY MUST BE PICKED UP PRIOR TO LEAVE THE TOURNAMENT. We will not mail/send money that is not claimed at the end of the event.
9. If at any point during the tournament, a bowler is unable to finish, they will not be given a refund and will receive zeros for the remainder of the frames/games.
10. All bowlers entering this tournament are to follow USBC rules. All decisions made by the tournament manager are FINAL. All other USBC rules will apply.
