Gareth Esson With his gentle guitar style, soulful voice, and deeply personal songs, Gareth Esson, an alternative folk-soul artist, is often compared to legends like Sting, Bill Withers, and Tracy Chapman. Growing up as one of nine children in Wolverhampton, Gareth first discovered songwriting as a way to entertain his younger siblings. His love for storytelling and music bloomed during his teenage years when he taught himself to play the guitar. Today, his songs reflect everything from brutally honest tales of past relationships to adventurous stories of superheroes and escapades.
