A screening of A Tale of Two Sisters as part of the Spotlight section at the inaugural LA Korean Film Festival.
Winner of the 2004 Gérardmer Film Festival Grand Prize, Kim Jee-woon’s acclaimed psychological horror blends gothic atmosphere, family tragedy and psychological suspense, establishing the film as a landmark of modern Korean genre cinema.
Inspired by a classic Korean folktale, the film became an international touchstone for Korean horror and was later remade in Hollywood as The Uninvited.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the special guest, director Kim Jee-woon.

Andrew de Burgh is an acclaimed filmmaker best known for the 2025 horror fantasy feature "The Demoness" and the psychological thriller TV series "The Twisted Doll". His upcoming romantic drama feature "The Jazz Club" starring Cayman Cardiff ("National Lampoon's Alpha Academy") and Marie Elizabeth DeWitt ("The Dreamer Cinderella") is scheduled to be released on February 12th, 2027.

SYNOPSIS
