About this Event
When life starts to spin, how do we find our footing and return to what matters most?
Parents, grandparents, children, expectations, old patterns and new possibilities; we’re all trying to find our place in the dance.
Join Maura Eden, parenting coach and former head of the Preschool at Brooklyn Friends School for over 25 years for a warm, reflective conversation for parents and grandparents about:
*What we carry forward and what we choose to change
*Finding our place across generations
*Supporting one another without stepping on one another’s toes
*Simple ways to pause, refocus, and respond with intention
Parents are continuously growing into their roles.
Grandparents are discovering new ways of being connected to their adult children and grandchildren.
Children are changing.
Expectations shift. Old family patterns can show up alongside new intentions.
Sometimes the movement feels joyful. Sometimes it feels dizzying.
In dance, when we spin, we set our eyes on a fixed spot to regain our balance. Families can do likewise.
When we pause and reconnect with what matters most, we can find our footing and choose how we want to move forward.
Participants will leave with:
*Growing awareness of their own family patterns and values
*More clarity regarding your own role within the family
*A few practical ways to pause and regain perspective
*Greater appreciation for the different perspectives each generation brings
*One or two intentional practices they can bring into everyday family life
Come reflect, connect, and find your "Spot"!
