About this Event
What happens when sports become a bridge between cultures?
Join Utah Global Diplomacy for Sports Without Borders, a lunchtime symposium exploring how sports can build relationships across cultures, connect communities, and create opportunities for international exchange.
As Utah prepares to welcome the world for the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, we’ll look beyond competition to explore the role athletes, coaches, sports organizations, and fans can play in fostering international understanding.
The conversation will explore sports as a form of diplomacy and cultural exchange, including the role of athletes as cultural ambassadors, the power of sports to bring people together across differences, opportunities for youth and women in sports, adaptive and Paralympic sports, and how Utah can use the years leading up to 2034 to strengthen international relationships.
The program will feature a moderated panel discussion followed by audience Q&A and opportunities for lunch and conversation with speakers and fellow attendees.
