The Hope Foundation invites you to a special edition of Spoons4Change, part of our Bridging Cultures project. Join us for an interactive evening where food becomes a starting point for cultural exchange, conversation and connection.
👩🍳 Meet Your Hosts
Ann (from South Sudan) and Agustina (from Argentina) will guide you through dishes connected to their cultures, sharing stories, traditions and personal perspectives along the way. This is not just a cooking class — it’s an opportunity to cook together, discover something new and exchange experiences around the table.
🥘 What We Are Cooking
🇸🇸 South Sudan
- Starter: Roasted Red Groundnuts
- Main Course: Salata Aswad
- Tea: South Sudanese Spiced Tea
- Dessert: Tropical Fruit Mix
🇦🇷 Argentina
- Starter: Sanguchitos de Miga — a classic Argentine sandwich, often found at birthdays, family gatherings and celebrations.
- Main Course: Empanadas Salteñas — traditional Argentine empanadas with a rich history and plenty of flavour.
✨ More Than Just Food
Food can tell us a lot about a culture — from everyday life and family traditions to history, celebrations and the ways people come together.
Throughout the evening, we’ll cook, eat and exchange stories while exploring what food can tell us about identity, community and different ways of life. Expect a relaxed, welcoming and interactive atmosphere — and, of course, plenty of good food and veggie options!

The number of participants is limited; therefore, registration is necessary. As a participation fee, we ask for a donation of 7€ to the Hope Foundation (further donations are welcome).
