SPOON CARVING WORKSHOP - MAKE A SALAD SERVER SETSunday 27 September 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
£80 including tea/coffee & biscuits throughout, materials, use of equipment on the day & tutoring.
Suitable for children 14+ accompanied by an adult.
This relaxing & immersive session will teach you how to carve a set of salad servers (spoon & fork) while seated on your own safe “spoon mule” – designed so you are always comfortably cutting away from your body.
You’ll learn how to use a spoke shave to create your own handle design and help to carve the outside of your spoon and fork bowls, and a curved carving tool to make the bowl of the spoon. Once you understand how to use the tools, you can then let your creativity run wild and enjoy this really mindful, relaxing and quite meditative process.
This spoon carving workshop will be held in the gardens of the Farmland Museum or, if the weather is poor, in the wonderfully bright and airy classroom.
The session is hands-on, and the student will be able to use their own equipment on the day to create their pieces.
The fabulous Docky Box Tearoom at the Farmland Museum has some truly scrumptious food to tempt you at lunchtime🍲; plenty of yummy treats, so you won’t go hungry 🥔❣️
