Headless horsemen, banshees, and shapeshifters- oh, my! Irish folklore is full of things that go "bump" in the night. Deep in the candle-lit belly of the Maine Irish Heritage Center's Great Hall, we will gather to share chilling tales from Irish culture and beyond. Host storyteller Cathy Furness will kick things off with a tale sure to give you goosebumps! All are welcome to share during the open-mic portion of the evening. Bring your favorite spooky story, poem, or song! Stories need not be of Irish origin. Enjoy a cocktail, mocktail, or sweet treat as you listen and enjoy an evening among friends—or friends-in-the-making. Stories may be too scary for young children. *Ages 12+ recommended!*
This event is free and open to the public. Donations supporting the Maine Irish Heritage Center are suggested but not required.
