Local author and associate professor of English and literary arts at the University of Denver, Rachel Feder is celebrating her new gothic novella with us on Thursday, October 15th at 5:30 pm at our Aspen Grove location! Join us for free spooky stories with Rachel and other local authors and writers!
This event includes an opportunity to meet the writers and participate in an audience Q&A after the event. Photos are welcome!

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
RACHEL FEDER is an associate professor of English and literary arts at the University of Denver. She is the author of Daisy and Harvester of Hearts (both from Northwestern University Press), The Darcy Myth, Birth Chart, and two coauthored works, AstroLit and Taylor Swift by the Book.
Lindsay King-Miller is the author of The Z Word and Ask a Queer Chick: A Guide to Sex, Love, and Life for Girls Who Dig Girls. Her writing has appeared in Glamour, Bitch, Cosmopolitan, Vice, and numerous other publications. She lives in Denver with her partner, their two children, and two very spoiled cats.
Candace R. Nunag holds an MFA from the University of Colorado Boulder. She is a literary prose writer whose work is centered on biracial subjectivity and identity; specifically, her work engages with multicultural practices of grief and mourning while also exploring topics like technology, addiction, suicide, and survivorship.
Maria Abrams is a mystery/thriller/horror novelist who lives in Colorado with her rescue frogs and dogs. She has a graduate degree in Psychology and is a graphic designer by day. Maria is also a member of the Horror Writers’ Association and a regular attendee at Stokercon.
CHRISTINA RIVERA is a Pushcart Prize–winning essayist whose debut, MY OCEANS (Curbstone Books, 2025), won the Silver Nautilus and Gold IPNE Book Awards. Her work has appeared in Orion, The Kenyon Review, The Cut, , HuffPost, and elsewhere. She will be reading from her work-in-progress, THE RIB: Exhuming & Rewilding missing POVs of the bible.
C. Henry Smith is the author of the chapbooks Twenty-Four Covers of a House on Fire and Warren as well as the micropoem TTRPG Roll Three Times. His Pushcart and Best of the Net nominated work has appeared across a wide range of journals, and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Denver. @chenrysmith
