Designed for students in 6th grade and up, this three-week series teaches young writers how to craft suspenseful, spine-chilling stories while building confidence in creative writing.
Students will explore the elements of great spooky storytelling, including:
- Building suspense
- Creating eerie settings
- Writing believable villains
- Developing courageous protagonists
- Using vivid sensory details
- Creating atmosphere
- Crafting surprising plot twists
- Writing satisfying endings
By the end of the workshop, each student will complete an original spooky story to take home.
