Get the costumes ready for an afternoon of Halloween fun. The Town of Castle Rock’s annual Spooktacular returns with more treats and family-friendly activities than ever. The free re-vamped🦇event takes over the Amphitheater and Millhouse at Philip S. Miller Park, 1375 W. Plum Creek Parkway, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17.
Find fright-free fun for the whole family. Follow the trick-or-treat trail for candy and treats, then brave the Millhouse Manor scavenger hunt and visit the bubble monster. There’s plenty of creative fun, too: decorate a masterpiece at the Pumpkin Picasso station, make sand art with the mad scientist, try other craft stations or concoct your own witch’s brew at the spooky soda station.
Keep the Halloween fun going with face painting, then take advantage of seasonal photo opportunities throughout the event. Still have energy to burn? Get the wiggles out with music and dancing or some quick kicks with Soccer Buddies.
All that Halloween fun can work up an appetite. Food trucks will be on-site with food and beverages available for purchase.
Come dressed for fun and the weather. This is an outdoor event. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged but not required.
