The only thing scarier than being watched, is not knowing ... Learn all about surveillance tech with MFFred
About this Event

If you're lucky enough to have avoided the controversy surrounding Flock Safety's rise to notoriety, this is your chance to learn more. Join us for a guided bike tour through downtown Indy tracing the spread of Flock Safety's surveillance cameras across the city. We'll ride past camera locations, talk about how the system works, and dig into why it's become one of the most contested pieces of tech in American policing.

Since The World's First Ever Flock Bike Tour on August 30th, multiple police officers have been charged with Felonies for using Flock to surveil & stalk wives, girlfriends, and random people. The House & Senate are being urged by Governor Mike Braun to create regulations. Indianapolis City-County Councilor Jesse Brown has submitted a proposal & the Democratic Caucus is considering rules for ALPR use by IMPD.

DeFlock Day, a social media campaign encouraging costumed vigilantes to destroy or disable Flock Cameras, approaches quickly on Oct 31st.

Now is your chance to learn and impact your community.

We start at Thomas Carr Howe High School at noon. All skill levels welcome, leisurely pace.
The route:
📍 Thomas Carr Howe High School → Washington/Emerson - City-County Councilor Jesse Brown joins us to talk about the council’s power to purchase and install this tech, and why he’s pushed for both public safety and public accountability.
📍Washington/Emerson → Michigan/Emerson - Fred Miller (MFFred) will explain why it is unsafe for police to have access to warrantless search.
📍 Michigan/Emerson → Ellenberger Park - What safeguards can be put in place? How can people get involved.
📍 Ellenberger Park → Thomas Carr Howe High School - Return to the start and time for additional questions. We will be sharing some policy documents for those interested in the details.

Come see the cameras for yourself, learn how they fit into the bigger surveillance debate, and leave with more information on making your community safer. All bikes and skill levels welcome! We'll keep a leisurely pace with stops to talk at each location.
Warning: This event will place you in direct view of police surveillance cameras. Please weigh the risk before joining the ride.
