In an increasingly fast-paced and fragmented world, many people long for moments of connection, reflection, and belonging. Spiritual Ecologies brings together works that explore the many ways people seek meaning — through relationships with nature and animals, by participating in ritual and shared experiences, and through acts of creation. Featuring paintings, sculpture, photography, and mixed media by a diverse suite of artists, the exhibition considers how art can help us reconnect: to the natural world, to one another, and to something beyond ourselves. Presented as a companion exhibition to Tobi Kahn: Quest for the Essence, Spiritual Ecologies explores the universal human search for connection, presence, and transcendence. The works in both exhibitions invite visitors to reflect on the ties that bind communities together and shape our sense of place in the world.
