A haunted pub crawl on Flagstaff's Southside, the neighborhood where the railroad, the saloons and the ladies of the evening built this town. First round at Mother Road Brewing, last call at Historic Barrel + Bottle House, and the stories told between them by the guides behind Flagstaff's original ghost tour.
When the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad arrived on August 1, 1882, the saloons, boarding houses and gambling rooms that served the crews went up on this side of the rails. For decades the blocks around Mikes Pike, South San Francisco Street and South Beaver Street ran as the town's red-light district. Reformers answered with Ordinance Ten in 1895. The district carried on for another two decades, and some of its residents, by local account, never left.
Today the same blocks hold breweries, taprooms and patios, which is exactly why a pub crawl belongs here. The history is real. The haunted locations are real. The drinks are just a bonus.
