About this Event
We’re summoning all spirits—ghoulish, glittery, and everything in between—for an evening of music, culture, and community in the heart of Downtown San Marcos. Spirit Squared brings together the vibrant traditions of Día de los Muertos and the fun of Halloween for an evening of music, art, remembrance, and community.
✨ WHAT TO EXPECT
5:00 PM | Community Ofrenda
Honor and remember loved ones who have passed by bringing a photo copy to add to our community ofrenda on the courthouse steps. Together, we’ll create a beautiful tribute celebrating the lives and memories of those who came before us.
5:30–7:30 PM | Sugar Skull Face Painting
Get into the spirit with a colorful sugar skull face painting experience by Michelle Sotolongo.
6:00–7:00 PM | Halloween Cumbia with Los Gatos 512 🎶
Turn up the season's vibes and get ready to dance! Los Gatos 512 bring the cumbia to the courthouse lawn for a lively hour of Halloween-inspired fun.
7:45 PM | Movie Under the Stars: The Addams Family (2019) 🍿
Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and favorite movie snacks and settle in for a free outdoor screening of The Addams Family. We’ll provide the popcorn—you bring the crew!
