It's an opportunity to join a select group of divers contributing to one of the largest citizen science projects ever undertaken on the Great Barrier Reef.
Over four days and three nights, guests will explore the spectacular Ribbon Reefs, including the world famous Cod Hole, with up to 11 dives, including a night dive. Expect vibrant coral gardens, enormous schools of fish, curious giant potato cod and the incredible biodiversity that has made this remote stretch of reef legendary among divers.
Along the way, you'll work alongside Citizens of the Reef and the Great Reef Census initiative, helping capture valuable imagery that contributes to ongoing reef monitoring and conservation efforts. It's a chance to see the reef through a different lens, not just as a visitor, but as someone helping build a greater understanding of this extraordinary ecosystem.
No scientific experience is required. Just a passion for diving, the ocean and the Great Barrier Reef.
Designed for Open Water divers with a minimum of 10 ocean dives, this special departure combines everything Spirit of Freedom is known for: world class diving, comfortable liveaboard accommodation, exceptional service and access to some of the most sought after dive sites in Australia.
