SPHERE BATS are Ian Gordon (guitar), Spencer Floyd (bass) and Doug Campbell (drums)—an instrumental three-piece from Louisville, Kentucky, pulling from noise rock, punk, repetition and the weirder corners of instrumental music. No vocals. Sometimes heavy, sometimes hypnotic, sometimes strange. All hail Bobby Mosquito.

BEASTS are Jeremy Johnson (vocals/guitar, formerly of Your Black Star), Greg Morris (drums, formerly of Parlour) and William Wallace (bass, formerly of The Fanged Robot)—a Louisville three-piece that sounds something like Dinosaur Jr. if they listened to a lot of Shipping News. Loud guitars, crooked melodies and post-hardcore bones.
