Whether you’re building scenery for a skirmish game or a special base for your favorite mini, this hands-on workshop provides a repeatable formula to get high-impact results.
In this instructor-led class, you'll paint a two-sided terrain piece that can create different moods depending on which way it is facing.
What You Will Learn & Practice
Advanced Theory & Setup:
- Finding the Best Angles: Compositional layout for scenery, ruins, and scatter terrain.
- Choosing a Light Source: Establishing a consistent focal point and directional lighting.
- Two-Tone Priming: Utilizing spray paints to instantly map out highlights and shadows.
Core Brush & Painting Techniques:
- Multi-Color Dry Brushing: Layering up brightness to create rich, textured stone and weathered surfaces.
- Shading and Washes: Pushing contrast and depth into deep stone crevices.
- Outlining Recesses: Defining structural lines to make details pop.
- Edge-Highlighting: Testing and sharpening your brush control for clean, crisp finishes.

12:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Speed Painting Terrain Class (Instructor-led workshop)

4:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Mini Bar (Optional hobby session and open community hangout)
