About this Event
Twelve first dates in one evening, and you never have to start a conversation cold.
Oh Hi is speed dating with a host who looks after the room. Twelve women and twelve men, all 28 to 38, at Forrester's, 336 Riley Street, Surry Hills, in the Art Room, a short walk from Central station.
When: Thursday 5 November 2026, 7:00 to 9:00pm. Aim to arrive 15 minutes early.
How the night works
- Your host meets you at the door, hands you your name card and introduces you to whoever's already there.
- Women stay seated. At each bell the men move to the next table: twelve conversations, six minutes each.
- At the end you tick the people you'd like to see again.
- 9am the next morning: if someone you ticked also ticked you, you both get an email with each other's first name and email address. No mutual tick, no contact. That's the rule.
Coming alone? The whole evening is designed for it. Your host introduces you, and the bell does the rest.
Bring a friend and save $10 each. Choose the "Bring a friend" ticket: two seats on the same side for $45 each, even after the early-bird seats are gone.
The fine print, kept short
- Full refund any time before the evening. Up to a day before, refund yourself in one click on Eventbrite; on the day, message us with the Contact the organiser button and we'll refund you in full. No questions asked.
- Can't make it? Transfer your seat to a friend in the same age bracket and on the same side.
- Drinks aren't included; the bar is open all night.
- Smart casual: dress as you would for a good first date.

Questions
Do I need to bring anything? Just yourself. Your host has your name.
Running late? Come anyway. Your host will seat you at the next bell.
Know someone there? Tell the host and we'll skip that conversation.
Is the room really even? Women's and men's seats are sold separately, so each side has its own tickets.
What do matches get? A first name and an email address, and only if you both ticked each other. We never share a phone number.
