Join us on October 17 at 1:30 pm for a special screening of “Walk With Frank” (2021), followed by a Q&A with Frank Romeo, who will share his personal journey and decades of advocacy on behalf of veterans and those living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)After graduating from Bay Shore High School in 1967, Frank enlisted in the U.S. Army and served with the 199th Infantry Brigade in Vietnam, a rapid-response unit that carried out intense ground combat missions, often deploying directly into battle by helicopter. During a mission in Cambodia, Frank was seriously wounded in an ambush and spent more than a year recovering in military hospitals. When he returned home to Long Island, he struggled for years with what would later be diagnosed as PTSD. His remarkable story of resilience, recovery, and service is told in this acclaimed documentary.
In addition to the discussion, Frank will exhibit artwork created by veterans living with PTSD, offering a powerful perspective on healing through creative expression.
🎟️ This program is included with museum admission. LIM is proud to offer free admission for veterans and active military personnel. Please check in at the Visitors Center to receive your complimentary pass.
