For two special sessions this fall, artists will have the opportunity to work directly from a live portrait model while receiving guided instruction throughout the class.
These sessions will focus on observing the structure of the head, accurate proportions, placement of the features, value relationships, and the planes that create three-dimensional form. Painters may also explore color relationships, edges, and simplifying the portrait into strong, readable shapes.
Artists may work in drawing or painting media and approach the session at their own level of experience.
