About this Event
Join us as we talk by satellite to Ewan,Jamie and Lachlan Maclean about their new book Three Brothers in a Boat - A True Story of Adventure and Purpose Rowing the Pacific
It's an adrenaline-soaked account of how the Maclean Brothers broke the world record for rowing non-stop across the Pacific Ocean - awash with lessons in grit, determination and resilience.
Three brothers. 9,750 miles. A record-breaking odyssey.
When the Maclean brothers rowed non-stop and unsupported across the entire Pacific they made history and raised over a million pounds for charity. But there's miles more to the story than that.
Just a few years earlier, they were complete novices. What followed would test their resolve, their relationships and their belief in one another.
Nail-biting, uplifting and inspiring, this is the true story of three ordinary people achieving something extraordinary.
The Brothers rowed into the Maritime Museum basin on 8 September 2025 at the end of their journey and gave a special talk in a Theatre. A year later they are back, but this time virtually, to update us on what has happened since.
They will be joining us virtually from their home in Scotland.
About the Authors
The Maclean brothers - Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan - first made global headlines in 2019 when they became the fastest trio to row across the Atlantic Ocean, covering 3,000 miles in 35 days and breaking the previous speed record by nearly a week.
Determined to keep working together for causes they believed in, they founded The Maclean Foundation, with a mission to raise funds for clean water projects.
In 2025 they set the Fastest Known Time for rowing the full Pacific Ocean, raising over £1 million for communities in Madagascar.
