In December 1967, Captain Mayer Katz, an Army surgeon at the 93rd Evacuation Hospital in Long Binh, operated on a wounded soldier named Roger Wagner and saved his leg. The two did not see each other again for more than fifty years. Dr. Katz will tell the story from both sides of the operating table, sharing his own perspective as the surgeon alongside Roger's account as the soldier. Please note the presentation includes some surgical images.
