Samuel Son is a Louisville-based comedian, poet, spoken word artist, His one-person show, Spam Kimchi ("Seoul food · Soul food"), is a recently created one-person show. The show had its first two performances at Maybeitsfate on June 20 and July 25, to a full crowd. One participant said "I belly laughed, and ugly cried." Keith McGill, who will be directing Wrinkle in Time, says "Spam Kimchi is at once hilarious, poetic and heartbreaking."
Samuel will bring a condensed version of Spam Kimchi to World Fest on September 6.
He is also the author of the poetry collection America, My America, and will perform several of his poems at the Corn Island Festival.
