Written and directed by Marcus Callender of Hulu's *Wu-Tang: An American Saga* and STARZ's *Power*, *Spades: the Play* follows the story of three close friends who meet every Friday at Gill's crib for their high-stakes Spades game. But this Friday night, sh\*t hits the fan when a new friend is invited to play.Set in the heart of 2013 Harlem and based on true events in Callender's life, the play turns playful banter into honest conversation about love, friendship and the blurred lines between the two.
The production stars Broderick Clavery (*Extrapolations*) as "Gill" and Akilah A. Walker (*The Chi*) as "Cori," with Derrick Alexander as "Andre" and Erin Nicole Washington as "Nefertiti."
