The 2026 Southland Mountain Bike Club Singlespeed Champs will be our last event at Sandy Point for the year. Please note the earlier date this year: Friday 6th November We are stoked to have the support from b.effect Brewing Company Wanaka again this year.
If your bike has multiple gears we have a simple fix to make it a singlespeed for the day, so anyone can join in this event.
Prize for best dressed.
Trophies for fastest male and fastest female.
Entry Information:
Entries are taken on the day. Registration from 5.30pm in the main carpark at the Sandy Point Trails on Sandy Point Road. The race will start at 6.30pm.
Club members $10, Non-Members $20
$5 entry for Under 15's and $30 per family.
There will be the option of the beer shortcut for those 18 or over and a non-alcoholic option for those under 18 or who don't want a beer.
The event includes all the usual singlespeed fun, fancy dress- beer shortcuts etc.
Come and have a go, it's a really social evening and a great way to try out riding singlespeed if you haven't before.
