Southern Taurids: Beginner Meteor Photography 🌠📸Join Salisbury Beach Photography Club for a fun beginner session photographing the night sky during the Southern Taurids’ peak period!

📍 Salisbury Beach Reservation Boat Ramp Parking Lot
The Southern Taurids are a quieter meteor shower that occasionally produces bright meteors called fireballs. We’ll practice long exposures and take repeated photos for a chance to capture one!
Please bring:
• A DSLR camera with a fully charged battery
• A tripod. I’ll bring a few extras.
• An extra memory card
• A telescope, if you have one, to explore other night-sky sights!
Optional: An intervalometer or camera remote. A telescope is welcome but not required. Meteors are best watched with your eyes because they can appear across a wide area of sky.
Dress warmly and bring a flashlight for getting set up. No experience needed. We’ll work through the settings together!
