College coaches and travel ball teams all agree: Southern Star events are just a better experience and recruiting opportunity. WHY?
1) 2-hour, 7-inning games give college coaches more time to watch players as they work through a real game and see their "in-game" adjustments. 75, 80, or 90 minutes is just not enough time to play 7 innings in 99% of showcases.
2) 2-hour 7-inning games give travel ball coaches more innings to move players in and around, as well as help them adjust.
3) 2-hour 7-inning games are real time and help prepare players for the next level.
4) The Saturday metrics testing gives college coaches an opportunity to find players to watch that they might not have known about.
5) Sunday Championship brackets give college coaches a chance to see players "compete" and teams a chance to compete for a championship.
6) Events are well run, on schedule and have high-quality umpires.
