About this Event
ESAC Group invites you to Southampton's Diwali Mela 2026 — a free, family-friendly celebration of the festival of lights at Bitterne Park School. Wander the food and handicraft stalls, enjoy live cultural performances, and stay for a day filled with music, theatre and colour.
Official booking channels: esac.uk/diwali and this Eventbrite page only. ESAC will never ask you to create an account, pay, or share your details anywhere else — if another site or app asks you to "RSVP" for the Mela, it isn't us.
Two exclusive shows, presented twice
Krishna Leela, a brand-new theatrical production directed by Sutapa Mukherjee, and VYOMA — Elements in Motion, a special-edition fashion show directed by Haimanti Kumar, are performed back to back at 11am and again at 3pm. Online seats for both sessions are now fully booked. A limited number of free hall tickets are held back at the gate for each show, first come, first served; seats not taken 10 minutes before the show (10:50 / 2:50) are released to the queue at the hall doors, waiting-list members first.
New — live screening of the 3pm show
The 3pm Krishna Leela & VYOMA show will also be shown live on a big screen in a second room at the school. Free live-screening seats (up to 4 per booking) are OPEN NOW on this page — book while they last. Everyone who joined the waiting list has already been issued a seat automatically. Doors to the screening room open at 2:45pm.
New for 2026 — the Rath Yatra and Grand Parade
At 2pm the celebrations move outdoors for a magnificent 45-minute procession, joined by the cast of both shows. No booking is needed — simply gather along the route and enjoy the spectacle.
