About this Event

We are delighted to share details of the upcoming South West GSAP event, which will take a fresh and exciting direction.

GSAP South West is convening stakeholders for a Collaborative Design Summit to secure broad regional commitment to a South-West UK pilot of an AI-powered, hyper-localised Green Skills Transition service.

The Summit will introduce how trusted, verifiable AI can provide personalised, data‑driven career pathways, connect learners with employers and training providers, and support the South West to meet growing demand for green skills.

With 53,000 additional skilled workers needed in our region and major opportunities emerging across energy, construction, and net‑zero sectors, this pilot aims to deliver a scalable model for national rollout.

Attendees will help co‑design the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), explore the foundational data and innovation behind the Navigator, and contribute to a shared plan that strengthens local labour‑market intelligence, supports inclusion, and connects talent with opportunity.

Be part of shaping a transformative regional proof‑of‑concept that will power the South West’s transition to a greener, more resilient economy.

Keynote Speaker Announcement: NauteXe Global Ltd

We are excited to welcome Jim Walker, COO at NauteXe Global Ltd as our keynote speaker. Jim will share their bold vision for the National Extreme Environment Centre (NEEC), a world‑leading facility planned for Exeter Science Park.

NauteXe will outline how this groundbreaking centre will support the UK’s critical needs in maritime innovation, floating offshore wind, defence, energy, and space, while driving forward net‑zero goals across the South West.

Attendees will hear how the NEEC’s unique capabilities, including an extreme‑environment test pool, advanced simulation suites for real‑world emergency and command and control scenarios, and extensive research and development spaces will transform skills, training, and innovation nationally.

Join us to learn how NauteXe plans to make a significant and lasting impact in Exeter, Devon, and the wider South West.
