This year, the South Side Market Grand Opening falls on Mother’s Day, which makes opening day even more special. Join us on Sunday, May 10 as we kick off the first full season of the South Side Market with a morning full of local food, handmade goods, and neighborhood energy. Bring your mom, grandmother, kids, friends, or anyone you love and spend a relaxed Sunday morning browsing local vendors, picking up thoughtful gifts, and enjoying the start of market season. The market will feature a mix of local growers, bakers, and makers, plus drinks available from Velum Fermentation next door. Whether you're shopping for a last-minute Mother’s Day gift, grabbing brunch ingredients, or just looking for something fun to do together, the South Side Market is the perfect way to spend the morning. What started as an idea at South Side Community Action Network’s Neighbor Night, and a few successful pop-up markets, is now launching its first full weekly season in 2026.
We can’t wait to celebrate opening day with the neighborhood.
