FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE“I’M ONLY HAVING A LOOK”: RECORD COLLECTORS’ MOST BEAUTIFUL LIE RETURNS TO PORT ELLIOT
It starts innocently. A quick browse. A flick through one crate. Then you spot an album you’ve been chasing for years, remember three gaps in your collection and suddenly need a second carry bag.
Welcome to the South Coast Record Fair, taking over Port Elliot Institute on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026 for two glorious days of sea air, deep crates and questionable self-control.
With more than 50,000 records, CDs and DVDs, this is a coastal escape for dedicated diggers, curious newcomers, completists and anyone whose shelves are already making suspicious noises.
Returning NSW crate heavyweights Revolve Records and The Vinyl Junkie arrive loaded with new, out-of-print and second-hand music. Local favourites Underground Records will unleash a huge selection of coloured vinyl, while Aldgate Fair founders Andrew and Malcolm join the action alongside Kim and his finely curated second-hand gems.
Expect all music styles, bargains and collectibles, with new and pre-loved stock waiting for its next home. Chase that elusive pressing, rediscover an old favourite or stumble across something you never knew you needed until approximately four seconds ago.
Make a weekend of it. Take in the sea air, grab a bite and then disappear into the crates for considerably longer than you told everyone you would. Port Elliot has plenty to explore, although we understand if your sightseeing consists entirely of record spines.
Bring your wish list, your mates and the bag you swear you won’t fill.
Entry is free. What happens between you and the crates is your business.
