Grab your plaid + bowls and roll up for a trip to flavour country, join us for our annual SOUP PICNIC!!! Lumberjack + plaid ensembles encouraged: bring stories of how your summer + autumn has (L. L.) Been.We will have two camp stoves for heating soups + things and be firing off some grilled cheeses while supplies last. Maybe a bit of tea depending on the weather.
Where: Coronation Park (711 Lakeshore Blvd) *** 1 - 6 pm
If it's misty/ rainy we grab the shelter by the washrooms, otherwise in the grass between the dog park and peace momument.
What to Bring:
* A bowl, spoon + appetite + enthusiasm for soup
* Soup to share or ‘friends of soup’ (breads, crackers, crispy onions, chives, tea, coffee - please label the glutenous, dairyful + vegan etc )
* Soup-chefs: bring a vessel/pot to heat your soup or a thermos that already holds soup hot + serving ladle if you need
* Plaid, flannel, denim, warm layers
* A chair or blanket for sitting
* A cup (Coronation Park is not a legal drinking park in Toronto - please no open alcohol containers * Sometimes we make tea )
* Enthusiasm to try new things and meet new folks
We ask that you:
