About this Event
Convivium Urban Farmstead is partnering with River Bend Food Bank for this unique fundraising event to raise awareness about poverty and food insecurity in our community.
When you arrive at the event, you will select a handmade ceramic bowl created and donated by local artists. You can then fill that bowl with soup donated by local restaurants. The bowl is then yours to keep!
You will hear from speakers about poverty and food access issues within our Dubuque community and learn what you can do to help.
Tickets are $50 per person. Proceeds for the event will go to St. Stephen's Food Bank (a branch of River Bend Food Bank) and Convivium Urban Farmstead.
There will be TWO seating times this year, one starting at 3:00 pm and lasting until 4:30 pm, and another seating starting at 5:00 pm and lasting until 6:30 pm. Don't worry! We'll save a variety of cool bowl designs and plenty of soup for both seating times.
Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in sponsoring someone's ticket.
REFUND POLICY
Convivium Urban Farmstead has a no refund policy for all classes, workshops and events. If you are unable to participate after you registered, your fee will be donated to our pay-what-you-can sliding scale level, which helps to ensure our programming is accessible and affordable to all. However, if Convivium cancels or reschedules a class for any reason (weather, instructor illness, etc.), participants will be notified as early as possible by email and their registration will automatically be refunded by Eventbrite. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your cooperation.
Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy
We will refer to the State Police website and road condition designations: https://511ia.org/. If the majority of the roads in Dubuque are designated “Travel not advised” (purple) or worse, we will cancel or postpone the event.
The cut off time for cancellation will be one hour before the start of the event. We will email and post cancellation notices on Facebook.
