the soundscapes series looks for beauty inside hiss, errors and broken signals. field recordings turn into complex sonic landscapes, and analog video merges with saturated textures. by Richie Herbst & Leszek.live: Harald Hofmeister, a Graz-based guitarist. His work oscillates between post-rock (Strom) and freely improvised music; in the improv duo Setyh with Yvonne Hofmeister, and as the trio RHY (plus Richie Herbst), and the GIS Orchestra and and. His current practice is a study of sound with an electronically alienated and prepared guitar, drifting into noise. The evening marks the release of his album Grains of Sound, out on the Graz collective label Bureau Le Fou.
