On Thursday, 22nd October, SoundRise Darbaar returns - this time to a new home at HyLo Kala Ghoda, for an evening of ghazals, Sufi music, Hindustani traditions and timeless melodies. 🎻
Darbaar features different rooms, different artists but the same idea: to bring people together around India’s rich musical heritage and the intimacy of a mehfil. 💛
At the heart of the evening is Dil Se Dil Tak – Echoes of Heart, a musical collective curated by Srushti Jagtap and Vishal Girish. Their repertoire brings together unplugged classics, soulful Sufi and timeless ghazals, with vocals, tabla, harmonium/keys and guitar. 🎤🎹🎸
Expect a mehfil that moves between familiar melodies, poetry, improvisation and moments that are best experienced in the room.
Please note, dinner and drinks are not included in your ticket price and will be available on al a carte basis.
And HyLo is a fitting home for it. Their food programme explores regional Indian flavours and hyper-local ingredients, while the bar brings the same Indian sensibility into its cocktails. The current menu continues that journey through regional recipes, native produce and traditional techniques, alongside an inventive cocktail programme. 🍽️🥃
