Sound Bath (also known as Singing Bowl Mediation or Sound Healing) is an immersive experience that uses various instruments — often crystal and metal singing bowls, bells and chimes — to create calming vibrations and soundscapes. These vibrations promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve overall wellbeing. Sound Baths are an ancient wellness practice used for centuries in many cultures worldwide. Sound healing is gaining scientific attention for its potential to promote relaxation and wellbeing. Studies suggest it may activate the parasympathetic nervous system, leading to slower breathing, lower blood pressure, and possibly improved digestion.
The benefits include: Reduced stress and anxiety • Improved sleep • Enhanced mood and wellbeing • Pain relief • Increased focus and clarity • Deep relaxation
What to expect: The session begins with a guided meditation or breathwork practice, gently preparing your mind and body for a profound sense of calm. Participants settle comfortably in a seated or reclined position as the practitioner plays crystal singing bowls and chimes that fill the space with calming frequencies, creating a truly immersive soundscape. Falling asleep during a sound bath is a common and perfectly normal experience. It’s a sign that your body is deeply relaxed. Sound baths can be a helpful tool for meditation, but they aren’t the same. Meditation typically involves focusing on your breath or a mantra, whereas a sound bath allows you to receive vibrations passively. Both practices can lead to feelings of relaxation and inner peace.
A sound bath is a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable experience for most people, however some people may feel overwhelmed if they have a heightened sensitivity to sound, and may consider using earplugs or moving further away from the sound source. If you wear hearing aids, some volume adjustments might be necessary.
